SMYLE: Shaping Health

Maldaba provided SMYLE, a content management system specifically targeted at University researchers, for Shaping Health a project run by TARSC. SMYLE operates on a low bandwidth, facilitating use on modems and in locations with intermittent connections. SMYLE offers a secure login system and lets members share diaries, manage contact details, keep projects up-to-date and use the file store as a convenient way to share files with other members. In addition, SMYLE contains a forum only accessible to logged-in members, to facilitate group discussion. Because the outputs of the research also need to be disseminated to the public, SMYLE can plug into a public website, to let site visitors search for and view details of the research and download publications.
